Bus Parts Customer Service Representative

· Receive customer phone calls and determine parts needed

· Place orders into Karmak Fusion system

· Create pic/pack for shipping & receiving

· Invoice customers

· Be proficient with Thomas, Daimler, Cummins other manufactures parts lookup software

· Interface with Thomas and Champion parts analyst to obtain correct parts

· Have good mechanical knowledge to understand customer needs

· Provide parts quotes to sales department for accessories & changes

· Order parts and accessories for new school buses (for sales)

· Record all customer contacts in CRM system

· Liaison with outside parts sales person

· Work with the body shop preparing estimates

· Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, and in-house business system

· Excellent communication skills required

· Commitment to customer service and satisfaction

This position will be considered “essential personnel” and will be responsible for responding in inclement weather to provide phone coverage for the department when other personnel are pulled for snow removal.

· Knowledge of basic automotive systems and components.

· Knowledge of DOT, EPA, OSHA and PA Inspection regulations.

· Necessary retail sales abilities.

· Valid PA Driver’s License.

· Ability to work one-on-one with customers, both in person and on the telephone.

· Must be able to read and write and have the mental capacity to complete required paperwork and records.

· Must have knowledge of vehicle systems and components.

· Must have excellent people skills to interact with customers in person and on the telephone.

· Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, and in-house business system. Karmak Fusion is a Plus

· Must be able to enter and exit vehicles with floor level generally from 12 to 66 inches off the ground

· Must be able to spend 20% of the day walking on surfaces such as concrete, metal, and gravel

· May spend 80% of the day sitting and typing on a computer keyboard.

· Must be able to perform lifting and carrying of vehicle components, parts, and hand tools weighing up to 50 pounds, up to waist level

· Must occasionally lift vehicle components / parts weighing up to 150 pounds, with assistance from co-workers

· Must be able to complete tasks that may require bending and heavy lifting

· Must be able to climb stairs

· He / She will mostly work in a heated or air-conditioning building; occasional job duties in the warehouse, service area, or outside the building may expose employee to heat, cold, dust, irritants, etc.

· He / She may be exposed to fumes and body shop related surroundings
